• The 1970 Hamilton Fontainebleau Chronograph carries the name of one of the grandest castles in all of France located 45 miles south of Paris, The Chateau de Fontainbleau. A chateau is a grand country house used by the noble and built to royal standards. The Fontainbleau's original purpose was a functioning game preserve. The Chateau sits at the edge the Forest of Fontainebleau. Oversized, superior, kingly, royal. A perfect association for a historic chronograph.
